Ivy is curious about the ways our life experiences, relationships and narratives shape our health.  Integrative, holistic approaches, which honor the wholeness of life and health, excite her.

During a high school sports physical, doctors told her she had cancer and would never be able to have children.  She believed she would die before she was 25. This year, she's celebrating her 24th year of living free of cancer and 6th year of being a mom.

"Wherever I began to go, people would stop me and share the story of their health journey with me.  They would mention experiences similar to mine.  As I listened, it felt like I was seeing patterns, a connection between dots.  They were like valuable, hidden gems. During my training as a clinician and researcher, I found even more gems.  Then, I finally discovered key and was able to unlock and open the treasure box.  It led me to an insight that changed my life, more profoundly than cancer did. There are connections between what happened in our lives and the illnesses that manifested in our bodies.  And there are connections between what is going on in our lives now and the symptoms we continue to experience."  -Ivy

With over two decades of insight from her personal healing journey, research and management work in corporate America, academia and healthcare throughout North America, Western Europe and East Africa, Ivy created two idea systems - interactability and health design.

As a licensed clinician, her educational path took her through two Masters in Social Work and Holistic Health Studies from St Catherine University and the University of St Thomas.  After spending three years in a Doctor of Philosophy in Therapeutic Sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center, she transferred into a a Doctor of Behavioral Health Management program at Arizona State University.  She'll be completing it soon.

Her personal mission is to inspire rhythms of resting, creating, healing, and loving.  Fireflies, the crunch of cold grapes, giraffes, the beach and her son all bring a smile to her face.
